Reformed Loser

I've recorded a short podcast. It's a trial run, really, but encouraging, as I feel that the extemporaneous bit at the end is superior to the prepared piece that forms the bulk of it. It's about General Robert E. Lee, and I hope you like it. I did it all in one take, pretty much. If the link doesn't work, leave a comment, email, or telephone call, and I'll fix you up.

Broadly speaking, things are going pretty well, though I must still give myself a one on a scale of two. The interview at St. Josephs never went down, and I can't seem to make any money. I'm tucking away about 10 percent of my meager income, but I can't get enough into my checking account to ever allow myself to buy anything besides beer, sandwiches, and the odd video game.

I'm looking around for amusement on the internet today, and none of the old reliable sites are helping. What I really need to do is go out and experience the real world, but so far I haven't. What I've done is drink a lot of coffee and buy a dramatic "chipmunk" (in quotations because it's actually a prairie dog) teeshirt.
Lately I've been looking for and listening to history podcasts. I can recommend Dan Carlin's website, dancarlin.com, and Lars Brownworth's 12 Byzantine Rulers.
I've also been playing Forza Motorsport on Xbox, and I might be getting a part-time job at St. Joseph's hospital in Rehabilitative Services, or something like that. Dr. Ben recommended I apply, I did, we (I and the hospital) conducted a phone interview, and on Tuesday we will be conducting a live action interview.
That's all, goodbye.
